Yellow Wildflowers

This was painted mid-August in a favorite place; where there was a honeybee's-dream of wildflowers. I can't think of anything much more pleasurable than being in front of this floral tableaux at the height of summer, looking; and painting the flowers.

This is small in size and the challenges are getting the atmosphere of place, the layering of plants, the scale, the spaciousness. Speaking of scale I'm thinking this would look great as a larger painting and am considering it.
